My song Red Letters is included on an album called Verlaine released by Aldora Britain Records, 2023. This was one of my favorites from my first album, Ash. The album is dedicated to the memory of Television frontman, Tom Verlaine.
It was wonderful to get a chance to do an interview with Tom Hilton from Aldora Britain Records for their latest webzine. I did the interview right after recording my upcoming album, Shadows of Corinth.
When most of your time is spent writing or performing music, it’s really a luxury to get a chance to think about your history as an artist. I also got to acknowledge three people who influenced my music from the beginning; my Granddaddy, my first piano teacher, and my stepfather (Jon Appleton). These three people had a huge impact on my music.
It was also a lot of fun to answer the questions in the quickfire round!
We spent the weekend of December 17-18th in Albany, NY recording songs from our new album, Shadows of Corinth. We recorded at the William Randolph Hearst Center for Communications and Interactive Media at The College of Saint Rose with the wonderful Andrew McKenna Lee. Kamala Sankaram, Charlotte Mundy, Andie Tanning, James Moore, Joshua Lopes, Joe Brent, Ches Smith, and Peter Wise performed the music beautifully. I can’t wait to release this album in 2023!
I’m excited to be performing Shadows of Corinth at The Cell Theatre on Sunday December 11, 2022 at 7pm. It’s been completely thrilling to be working with these musicians and we’re looking forward to sharing this music. A week later we’ll be recording Shadows of Corinth in Albany, NY.

Aldora Britain Records is an awesome label featuring independent music from around the world. I’m honored to have Absinthe Trickle included on one of their compilations!
I got a chance to work with the songwriters from Bucknell University this Fall. Their music is truly beautiful. Can’t wait to hear more music from these budding songwriters!
This was such a special show! It was wonderful to get to do a salon with both Esmé Thompson and Jennifer Stock. I find both of their work so inspiring! It was my first time performing with Jude Traxler, Megan Schubert, and Julianne Carney. And it was so great to get to perform with the amazing Mellissa Hughes once again. All in all, it was a beautiful experience.
It was so wonderful to work with Chad Kamenshine. He took some beautiful photos of me at an incredible space called Brooklyn Grain. Aga Choinska was a genius at doing hair and makeup. I had so much fun!
Looking forward to performing June 21st at the Carlsbad Music Festival’s Village Walk with Christine Tavares Mocha, Katie Campbell, Marc Gasway, and Lauren Elizabeth Baba.
I’m looking forward to being part of Ear to Mind’s First Annual New Music Forum this coming Saturday at Exapno New Music Community Center.
