The Grammys!

It was completely thrilling to be at the Grammys last weekend to help everyone involved with Black Lodge celebrate their Grammy nomination for Best Opera Recording. Partying with the Black Lodge crew was magical. David T. Little wrote an incredible opera and Timur Bekbosunov’s amazing voice brought it to life. Beth Morrison brought the entire project to the big screen. Andrew McKenna Lee was a co-producer on the project and helped create an incredible sonic landscape. Some of my favorite moments at the Grammys included; watching all the nominees get their medallions at the nominee ceremony, following Kelly Osbourne & Slipknot on the red carpet, searching for food with David & Eileen and not finding any so eating chips in desperation while listening to Miley Cyrus perform Flowers, and getting dressed up and celebrating and then celebrating some more! I got to listen to Black Lodge while Andrew was working on it (as a producer). I’ve heard it many times and I could listen to it a million more times – the music is just that amazing. Bravo Black Lodge!
